# Do I get the GED diploma for attending the Onsego classes?

No, you don't receive a GED diploma for attending Onsego classes.

The GED diploma is awarded by your **state** after you pass the **4 GED tests** provided by **GED Testing Service (GED.com)** — the only official GED test provider.

Onsego helps you prepare for these tests with [**focused prep classes**.](https://onsego.com/online-ged-classes/) Once you're ready, you must register for the GED test at **GED.com** and take the exams.

There are two ways to take the GED test:

- **In-person** at a testing center
- **Online** with remote proctoring

Once you pass all 4 tests, **your state** will issue your GED diploma. The delivery method (email or mail) varies by state.
