# How do I get the GED diploma?

To earn your GED, you need to **pass four official GED subject tests**: Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts. These tests are **only available through GED.com**—Onsego does **not** provide the GED test itself; [we offer online GED classes. ](https://onsego.com/online-ged-classes/)

To pass, you need a **score of 145 or higher on each subject**. You can choose to take the test **online** (if eligible) or **in person at a testing center**.

Onsego offers **online prep classes and practice tests** to help you get ready. Our lessons are designed to prepare you step by step for all four subject tests.

Once you pass all four, **your state will issue your official GED diploma**, usually by **email, mail, or both**, depending on where you live.
