How many times can I take the GED test

In general, there are no restrictions to how many times you can take the GED® test. However, most states allow you two retakes (so three attempts in total) within 12 months, and then you need to wait sixty days.

Retakes for failed exams are usually discounted. In Florida, for example, a retake costs $12 per subject, and in California $15.

Here you can check the rules in your state.

Keep in mind that Onsego offers GED prep online classes; the actual GED® test is provided by GED Testing Service through ged.com.
