Before I found Onsego I honestly wasn’t sure I was going to get my GED done. I had been out of school for a long time and I was working full time, so sitting through long boring lecture videos or trying to grind through a stack of GED books wasn’t going to happen. I tried that stuff and it just didn’t stick.
Onsego actually worked with my schedule instead of against it. The lessons were short and got to the point, so I could do a section on my lunch break or after I got home from work and not feel like I wasted an hour.
The practice tests were probably the biggest help though. I actually knew where I stood going into the real test instead of just hoping I studied the right stuff.
I passed my GED in the summer of 2025 and that’s what got me into Bellevue College that January. I’m going for an Electrical and Computer Engineering transfer degree now and I’ve kept a 4.0 so far.
None of that happens if I don’t get the GED first, so I’m genuinely thankful I found a program that actually fit how I learn and how busy my life was.
