Onsego continues to offer online GED prep, while Cansego.ca now offers online CAEC (Canadian Adult Education Credential) prep.
Did Onsego change to Cansego?
No. Onsego still offers online GED classes.
Only the CAEC prep course has moved to Cansego.ca.
Both programs were developed by the same team, but serve different students in different countries:
- Onsego operates in the United States.
- Cansego serves students in Canada.
Why was Cansego created?
In 2024, the GED test in Canada was officially replaced by the new CAEC test.
To better serve Canadian students, Cansego.ca was created as a separate website focused only on CAEC prep.
The computer-based new CAEC test is different from the earlier paper-based Canadian GED exam. It focuses on typical Canadian traditions, cultures, values, economy, history, government, and so on, while the former Canadian GED test did not cover any typical Canada-related content.
Therefore, you should not use any GED prep resources if you want to prepare for your CAEC test! Instead, use trusted CAEC materials, such as Cansego’s online prep course.
